Forest Lane Park was just opened this month and is showing off accordingly. Brand new forest-themed equipment throughout — a giant butterfly climbing ladder and sled ride-on toy give this playground real personality and charm.
The equipment skews more for ages three and up — a tall slide, monkey bars, and overhead spinners are better suited for older kids ready to tackle them. Younger toddlers will find limited options here. Oddly, there are no swings.
A freeway runs alongside but is beautifully screened by dense trees, maintaining a surprisingly secluded and peaceful feel despite the proximity. The small grassy area doubles nicely as an informal dog space, and a half basketball hoop rounds out the modest amenities. No bathrooms on-site.
A strong three star neighborhood park that delivers above expectations for its size.
