Alice

Visited · with my 3 yo and 2 yo

Children's Fairyland completely surprised us — what we thought would be a few hour visit turned into a full day. Every corner is designed like it's pulled straight out of a storybook, and it's genuinely charming, old bones and all (fun fact: this place actually influenced Walt Disney when dreaming up Disneyland).

Designed specifically for younger children, every corner brings a nursery rhyme to life — an Alice in Wonderland tunnel, Queen of Hearts maze, there’s limited rides all designed super cute, Wild Wild West playhouse, a running train ride, and live performances throughout the day including storytime and singing that keep little ones completely captivated.

Food-wise, there's a small on-site restaurant, or bring your own for a picnic. Everything is spaced out generously, so it never feels overcrowded. Oakland Chinatown right next door makes dim sum beforehand an obvious and delicious choice.
