STEM Sundays - Lava Lamp Experiment

Join us at the Alviso Branch Library where we will host special STEM themed programs on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month. For each STEM Sunday, we will feature a fun, hands-on activity to help learners develop their Science, Tech, Engineering, or Math skills and experience. Some of the activities will be done in groups at Alviso branch while others may be kits you can work on at the library or take home! On this day, participants will layer oil & water, add color, then drop in Alka-Seltzer to watch your homemade lava lamp erupt! Participants will learn why water and oil never mix. This program brought to you by the MHS STEMGirls. For more information on these programs, please check website frequently for updates or call at 408-808-3052. Recommended for Ages 5-12+ and Up Free. In-Person Registration Required. Participants can register for the program 30 minutes prior to start of program at information desk. ADA Accommodation Requests
