Lake Street in San Francisco’s Richmond District welcomes children of all ages for Halloween. The main trick-or-treating stretch runs from 4th to 25th Avenue. The heaviest crowds and most elaborate decorations concentrate between 7th and 22nd Avenues. Smaller hubs gather near 5th–9th and 23rd–25th Avenues. Families with younger children often arrive around 4–5:30 p.m., before the largest crowds. The 2025 closure list includes Lake Street between 6th and 7th Avenues within this route.
