Le invitamos a reunirse con nosotros en la sucursal Fruitvale para el fin de nuestro grupo de tejer, guiado por tejedoras expertas de Unión Maya. ¡Aprenda los fundamentos del tejido tradicional, observe técnicas ancestrales y comparta un espacio de aprendizaje comunitario! Esta última sesión está abierta al público. Habrá reflexiones finales, cierre del taller y exposición de los proyectos tejidos finales creados por los participantes. ¡Tendremos bocadillos y música para esta celebración! Idioma: Principalmente Maya Mam con apoyo en español e inglés. Tenga en cuenta que se realizarán fotografías y grabaciones de video y audio durante este evento. Si no desea ser fotografiado o filmado, favor de informar al personal de la biblioteca. ----------- We invite you to join us at the Fruitvale Branch for the final wrap up of our weaving group, guided by expert weavers from Union Maya. Learn the fundamentals of traditional weaving, observe ancestral techniques, and share a community learning space! This last session is open to the public. There will be closing reflections, workshop wrap-up and exhibitions of the final textile projects created by the participants. We will have light snacks and music for this celebration! Language: Primarily in Mayan Mam with support available in Spanish and English. Please be advised that photography, video, and audio recording will take place at this event.
